So I was driving to work late this afternoon, as I had some things to take care of at home before I left, and as I turned the bend on the highway on this village not far from where we have our jobsite it was just completely lit up with this incredibly striking light. I haven’t done my best with this, but maybe my shot just wasn’t taken well enough. It’s easy to edit one like this and just contrast the differences in light and shadow…but can anyone bring up, or add definition to the foreground? I couldn’t…so I opted for the crop.
If not, just have fun with it…and if you participate, thanks.

I think it gives the image character.

…and if you shoot a portrait, it gives the person freckles. :innocent:

My humble attempt on this powerful image. Not as dark as the original post.

:joy: I will clean it. I just cleaned it two weeks ago as well. Maybe I should be a little more careful.

Well, in the end it’s the work you have. But I would go nuts if I would have to retouch every photo I make.

I gave this one a try in FerrumPix, made by @bitpainter75.

Oh believe me, I’m not too keen on retouching every photo. This sensor has been a dust magnet and I wish I didn’t have to clean it as often.

Just wondering, how do you clean your sensor?

I must clean the sensor of my Nikon once a year or every two years, using a Lenspen.

Took a “bit” of Retouching:

But it was too good to not edit it

Great capture! Unfortunately my edit emphasizes the many sensor spots.

I use a sensor wipe and a generic sensor cleaner.
I must just allow lots of dust in when I change lenses.

One of the reasons I travel with a 16-300mm lens is to avoid the entry of dust changing lenses all the time. I went for monochrome because I couldn’t get pleasing colors.

I’m seeing some sort of rainbow effect in that brightest cloud area

My version. There are loads of smudges on that camera’s sensor! Thanks for sharing it – a brilliant shot!
