I’ve just upgraded to the newest Fedora version which currently has Rawtherapee 4.2.1234 and realised that everything looks very big. So big that some buttons are overlapped. This issue makes working with Rawtherapee very difficult. Does anyone know any good solution for this issue?
I was over Christmas at my mom’s, who has a Laptop with Linux Mint and she does not have the problem. I don’t remember what version of RT she has, but since she is using a long term release of the distro, probably an older one.
Looking forward to getting this fixed somehow. Thanks in advance!
Well, even though I don’t have the solution, I have found a possible explanation and a workaround for the time being. So in case someone needs it, here we go.
It may not be the same issue, but definitely a similar one, which probably will be fixed in a future version. For now I have downgraded to Rawtherapee 4.2.0, which does not have the issue.
@vib you’re using an outdated version. Contact the Fedora package maintainer and ask to update the version of RawTherapee they ship. Every version of Fedora since version 22 should be using the head of the gtk3 branch, while every version of Fedora 21 and older should be using the head of the master branch.
Thanks for your help. I was not aware of this transition to gtk3.
I’ve solved the problem by removing the old Rawtherapee, installing the repos for Rawtherapee for Fedora 25 from http://download.opensuse.org and installing the package rawtherapee-gtk3 (4.2.1476).
