I am on macOS Tahoe at 5.3.0+966~g82a390df5c. When I move around the color patches the histogram changes but the image does not:
Only the main view appears to be broken. The small preview on the left panel reacts to the changes.
Is it just me or do others see this too?
Working for me on master updated today on NixOS (Linux) on Gnome Wayland.

I can reproduce the issue with current master on Linux Mint 21.1 Cinnamon. Works fine with darktable 5.2.0 on the same machine.

Thank you all for verifying. I filed a bug:
opened 07:39AM - 05 Dec 25 UTC
### Is there an existing issue for this?
- [x] I checked and did not find my is… sue in the already reported ones
### Describe the bug
Activating monochrome turns the image B&W, but then moving around the color patch selector has no effect on the main view. However, the changes affect the preview in the image navigator in the left panel.
### Steps to reproduce
1. Edit any image
2. Activate the monochrome module
3. Move the color selector around
4. Nothing happens to the main view
### Expected behavior
The image in the main view should respond to the changes in the module parameters

I can reproduce on Ubuntu 24.04 with latest master.
It’s interesting that in your case at least the histogram changes, but not the image rendering.
In my case not even the histogram changes when making modifications to the monochrome module.

For me turning off OPENCL fixed the issue…latest nightly on Win 11 so maybe its a code issue related to that part of the pipeline…
I got the same results - turning off OpenCL fixes the issue.
