Focus detection questions

Hi,
Only today I found out this useful feature.
Some questions based on this example.
1 - The sharper the image, the big the red dots will be?
2 - The blurred man and car still account for sharp regions according to the algorithm. Is this because of the lines produced by the subject’s movement?
3 - Is there a way to tweak the sharpness threshold?

2 It is because there are dark and white areas that make the contrast great.

3 Not that I know of.
