Serious props to DP review for choosing to pull their entire review when they realized something was wrong. In an age of click bait and failure to fact check, the decision to pull the article then republish when its correct really stands out.
Other than that, looks like cool new tech!
Interesting that dcrawps is GPL licensed…so it’s never going to be mainline in dcraw. I guess RT, dt, and LibRaw will have to pick it up individually…
Nice of them to pull it when they realized it. It’s actually four raws in one so I’m told… I do hope the day comes when I can process these files straight into RT***. For now I have to use Silkypix first. No biggy for me though as I haven’t been shooting a ton of pixel shifts so far (in the month I’ve had the k1)… Makes for a lot of peeping fun though when I do!
***I’d be happy to take and share any necessary photos if developers gain interest in this…
darktable doesn’t use dcraw or anything based on it.
