I’ve using tagging to group related bird images according to species. Initially it worked well as I moved from LR to DT, however for some reason it is now putting the tag groupings under the uncategorised “group/tag” and there appears no way that I can move the tag the higher/tagged level. Refer below image. Any help would be appreciated.
I only use the DT Nightly Build on Linux.
Resolved it by setting the preferences to not show Uncategorised collections/items … very strange way of doing it. Had it set previously, must have changed somewhere along the way.
Glad you found a solution. So many times I’ve posted a question here, then come back and posted my own answer after doing some more digging. 
I’m wondering how digiKam interacts with DT, if they do those tasks better or worse, etc… The only reason I ask is because I recently had an online conversation with someone about RawTherapee and digiKam, and how they work together to mimic some of the more familiar features from LR. Personally, I have dK and RT as part of my workflow to manage everything.
