Fun with prawnsushi

Getting mystic vision and Bambi wildfire vibes.

Probably because of this new drug :

Don’t remember anything about Bambi though, it was too long ago.

Dunno where or what this is, but it looks fun.

Hmm, you could make underwater effect for underwood.

Ah, so, in addition to broccoli forest, you want some broccoli soup?
I’m not sure i’m going to do that. Never been interested in underwater scenes. (Gotta leave a bit of work to the user, if there is any)

Since i’m growing a bit tired of the woods i decided to upload it and let it rest a bit. I’ve seen this thing a bit too much i guess.

There are 2 filters for now (for 3.3.6), the rest will come later:

  • Gmic > Testing > Prawnsushi > Nonscape - Grass
  • Gmic > Testing > Prawnsushi > Nonscape - Woods

Gmic > Testing > Prawnsushi > Nonscape - Grass

Gmic > Testing > Prawnsushi > Nonscape - Woods

Default output for Nonscape - Woods

PS : Vertical Shift is broken in Nonscape - Woods, couldn’t find a way to adapt the shadows to the shifting without spending all my RAM, or waiting 2 or 3 eternities. (Note that it was working at first, i just changed the way shadows were rendered afterwards. Now back to square one?)

I just noticed that the top of the canopy is too manicured, as if a giant had a lawn tree mower.

When you return to it, consider generating islands for me to canoe to and/or portage over. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@afre Try adjusting the trees’ height a little, they will look more uneven:

Also, the preview can look ugly sometimes, due to deformations not scaling with it, so the grass doesn’t always cover the clipped trunks.

Thanks for the tip. Honestly, I have not found the time to test your filter.

Does Height Adjust make trees taller (or shorter), does it add variation among trees, or both?

Thank you for this filter.

After your filter G’MIC>“LMS Adjustment” (edit, forgot to mention that one). Then GIMP “Stress” filter multiply blend. Thereafter; chaiNNer with “1x-Debandurh-FS-Ultra-lite.pth” model and “RealESRGAN_x4plus_anime_6B.pth” model:

After your filter:

The first with chaiNNer:

With “2x-DigiGradients-Lite.pth” model instead of “1x-Debandurh-FS-Ultra-lite.pth” model. It’s sharper, but more artifacts:

This would be a nice desktop background for a week. The power of :shrimp: :sushi: at work.

That’s ok, i don’t have time to test everything i see either.

Height Adjust will effectively make them taller or smaller, and add variation. Just choose a direction. But it’s very… strong.

EDIT :
@iarga Thank you for using it
One day i’ll make my own tree(s) and bushes so i can separate leaves from trunk, so light relief will not be applied to leaves (i don’t like it at all). Or, just make dead trees.

@afre Not really my power, trees, bushes (flat trees) and light rays are from @David_Tschumperle i think. I suppose i just found a use for them?

I would love to see them with transparency. This looks great.

Transparent background is ok, but sadly opacity3d doesn’t seem to work with lathe3d (or maybe there’s just too many faces?)

EDIT : it actually works but it looks like snapshot3d is not aware of model opacity.

Actually… it looks like snapshot3d uses model opacity unless you set background opacity (to anything?):

gmic run 'torus3d 100,10 double3d 0 repeat 7 { +rotate3d[-1] 1,0,0,20 opacity3d[-1] .2 } add3d mode3d 3 snapshot3d 1000,1,0,0,0'

`gmic run ‘torus3d 100,10 double3d 0 repeat 7 { +rotate3d[-1] 1,0,0,20 opacity3d[-1] .2 } add3d mode3d 3 snapshot3d 1000,1,0,0,0,0’

What can i do to have both? Tried using snapshot3d by using a transparent image as background too but it does the same as above.

Alright, used 2 snapshot3d and then luminance as alpha layer:
