Generate backwards-compatible XMP

I run Darktable 4.8.1 (comes with Ubuntu 24.10) on my desktop and 4.6.1 (bundled with PhotoPrism) on a server. The server version generates jpegs based on the XMP files created by the desktop version. Apparently, the XMPs generated by default by 4.8.1 are not compatible with 4.6.1 - the jpegs generated on the server are massively “overexposed” (mostly white). Is there a way to configure 4.8.1 so that the metadata it saves works correctly with 4.6.1?

no, theres just a backward compatibility enabling current version to process xmps from older versions.
