I went on a hike in weather that would normally make you want to stay at home. But I felt like going anyway, so I just headed out. Suddenly, the sky cleared and the mountains were bathed in sunlight. That’s how this picture came about 
I’m curious to see how you would edit it.

DT 5.3 using AgX. I love the dark moodiness of the capture. @Popanz has done an exceptionally good edit of your image. You original edit is also very good and sets a high bar.

Here is my interpretation of this beautiful shot.
I tried to highlight the pine forest in the shadow of the mountain while accentuating the contrast of the sky.
Darktable 5.3 (master) avec Agx.
