Gimp 2.10.6 scroll zooming

Hi,
I installed gimp 2.10.6 and I noted the scroll zooming ( Crtl+mouse wheel) is speeder if I change the precision from perceptual to linear.
Is it OK or I’ve wrong something?

Same fore me, but more sensible in 8-bit, where Linear doesn’t make much sense.
