Can any available version of GIMP access the GPUs in an AMD A series processor?

I believe 2.8.x has OpenCL support, so it is up to your video card driver to be OpenCL compatible.

Not really much. We had an OpenCL project with StreamComputing earlier this year, but it appears to have stalled out…

Was there some particular thing you were looking for? Maybe there’s another way?

hoping to accelerate GIMP processing - having GIMP use the GPUs. In fact, I don’t know that it doesn’t. Is there a way to tell?

On Windows, Process Explorer can show the GPU usage.

Where does that show up? I see two cpus each with two virtual, but no gpu.

You can look at process Properties or/and add GPU column(s) to the main pane (View > Select Columns …).

Thanks so much! I was looking at task manager, not process explorer. The result: GPUs do not seem to be used.
