I just installed Parthas 2.93 GIMP and I tried to use Saul Goodes script to produce luminosity masks. I receieved these error messages and the masks, although displaying fine in channels didn’t work in layers (displayed as a black mask).
Any ideas?

I think I ran into the same thing myself not long ago. The script will need to be updated to account for those warnings. I’ll have a look later this week if you remind me (and will possibly rope saulgoode into joining us here).
The development versions are picky about the use of the deprecated APIs, but the stable versions aren’t. SG’s scripts will work without warnings on 2.10 (unless they break completely:).
Well, I’ve gone ahead and patched the warnings. Also, here is a new repository on Github for us to use as a place to share scripts we find useful or interesting!
These were just deprecated calls giving warnings - the actual script ran just fine and created all of the luminosity channels ok. I went ahead and fixed the warnings, though.
Do you mean that deprecated calls will not trip a warning in the console if they’re used on 2.10?
Yes. This is what happened with 2.7. All the warnings vanished in 2.8…
Thanks guys, your quick response is very much appreciated.
GIMP is being cranky again. I am using
Where is this build from? I can grab it and try to patch Sauls script.
It’s from Partha. I am using GIMP 2.9.5 64-bit Color Corrected Experimental Edition portable but not the most current one.
I still need to merge this repo into the main scripts repo!
