Hi all. After a conversation with a couple of members of this community and one of the moderators, I’ve come to realize that this forum is not the right place for me to spend my time online.
Thanks to all of you (the majority) who have been helpful and friendly during my time here.
To the mods: please, deactivate my account whenever you get a chance.
Hi @anon16817310, I see you have been mostly active in darktable related topics, so I haven’t read many of your posts. Regardless, if you feel the whole community is not worth staying around for, it would make sense to lay low for a while or fully leave. If it is just a few people that rub you the wrong way, it may be wiser to try and see if you can avoid them. There are probably many people in the community left that can make you feel at home, and there are still probably many ways to have valuable discourse and contributions.
I haven’t said that the community is not worth it. Just that this forum is not the right place for me. I came because of my interest in darktable, and have learned quite a bit since joining. However, I’ve started to notice that at times the Code of conduct is not really followed both by members, but what is worse, by some moderators. In fact, this thread was flagged as inappropriate this morning by some community member. I don’t mean to point fingers or further argue with anyone, so this is where i get off.
I broke the code of conduct because I didn’t want to do a thing you wanted. You persisted, tried to put words in my mouth, and then you wanted an apology?
@paperdigits I don’t think a (further) public argument is going to help anyone. Edit: regardless of who is rightfully or wrongfully accused of anything…
You broke it by being deliberately confrontational. Not only did you not agree with my request, but you closed the thread, so it got buried. All I ask is that you close my account, please
