I would appreciate to have a switch for switching on/off a grid or variable guide while adjusting horizontal / vertical perspective.

RawPedia says, under Distortion Correction:
You can place a grid over the image by activating Crop (without cropping) and using “Guide Type > Grid”.
It works, but I think a straightforward control to access a grid at any time would be an improvement.
