Gtk warning message when starting darktable from command line

I’m starting darktable in Mint 20 from the command line as I find that it freezes much less on import (files or folders) than when starting from GUI (darktable then freezes on every import). The warning message is:
“(darktable:16106): Gtk-WARNING **: 10:21:32.353: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkBox to a container of type GtkStack, but the widget is already inside a container of type GtkStack, please remove the widget from its existing container first.”

What does it mean ? What did I do wrong ? What should I change so that this warning message is not invoked - or does it not matter ?

I don’t think you can do anything. Reporting the issue on github may help.

If you use 3.2.1 release, maybe wait to use 3.4 release (will be released in just four days) to check if that warning is always there, before posting an issue on Github. Most Gtk warning are just… warnings and are not annoying to use darktable; And lot of things have been improved, optimized in 3.4 release.
