Had some fun experimenting dt's framing & watermark modules

Had some idea’s and questions about the possibilities of these modules so experimented somewhat.

This was the fun result.

Conclusions:

  • I may use multiple instances of framing module
  • I like the framing module now even better then I did
  • I may use inkscape for defining a watermark
  • watermark module is fun
  • module order matters here too

I have a quick question about watermarks. Can you mix normal letters with italics. I would like to do this when identifying birds and animals and it doesn’t seem possible.

The good news is you can. Good too is that I did so. See the copyright line at the bottom.

The bad is ‘I can’t replicate’!
I do not know how I managed the text to be all separate object per letter instead of one object for the whole line…

What I found so far (in inkscape):

  • ‘Text’ menu > ‘Object to glyphs’, breaks a sentence into separate objects
  • The you may set properties by ‘Object’ > ‘Selectors and CSS…’
  • Add a property by clicking the ‘+’ button in front of ‘element’
  • Then I’m still lost in how to set the individual values
