Just the other day, I realized that not everyone can think globally and long-term. Therefore, I think it’s vital to share my thoughts and ideas.
I started working with graphics with DT, which was version 4.20.
It had a slightly different tone equalizer.
It’s definitely improved.
They’re suggesting replacing the static gradient in the visualization window with a / stripe (I’ve attached an image).
Make it as simple as possible for the processor.
Why I’m thinking about this.
It allows you to quickly adjust the correction, but only for the high or low frequencies of the image.
Without going into deep settings.
I think the static part (the gradient) is understandable to most people. Even without visualization.
I think this is the perfect replacement. I didn’t live in that version, but I watched all the videos about DT. And it stuck in my memory. Written on 3.4.1
You are showing `mask post-processing’ in the screenshot. I don’t see this in DT 5.6 windows. So I am unsure what what you are proposing. If the translation is letting you down, maybe also post in original language and that might help.
This is DT 5.6 and I don’t see anything different in your image, so I am unsure what change you are proposing. The big improvement in 5.6 over earlier versions is the ability to adjust mask exposure and mask contrast compensation while viewing the graph.
The one that you highlight was removed. It is a box plot. It represents flat version of the histogram. When the sliders were moved to be with the histogram, it became redundant and was removed.

Boris taught in his video how to adjust the equalizer based only on lights or shadows. This is a good use case. And this graph gave a good understanding of how to set it up quickly.
I propose to return it to the place of the gradient in the graphical representation. Because the gradient is static and does not carry information.
