Help with deconvolution

Hi,
I’m using Siril for linear processing and Pixinsight LE for non linear processing. The last step I usually do in Siril is deconvolution. Is there any tutorial for this tool?

I usually move the radius slider and the corner radius slider, and leave the contrast threshold automatic, but it is almost impossible not to generate halos around the stars (if the image is enlarged there is actually a reduction in the brightness of the stars and edge blurring). If I try to intensify the deconvolution, a black border appears between those halos and the cores of the stars. However the effect on large structures seems neutral.

Another question: With Siril you can extract the luminance through the extraction of channels and it also allows you to invert that luminance: that is a mask. Is it possible to apply skins to the main image in Siril? Perhaps that would improve what I mentioned above.

Hi Francisco and welcome,
in case you haven’t seen, there is this tutorial about processing stacked images: Siril - Whole image processing (pre-processed with scripts)

There is no mask implementation in siril.

We are currently documenting the recent features like deconvolution (in siril it’s the Lucy-Richardson), we hope to finish that for the upcoming 1.0 release. It’s quite hard to use deconvolution without making artefacts appear indeed.
