Thanks for the play. I am unhappy with the bird because it doesn’t pop in my edit. I wanted to reframe the shot which I did to ignore any rule of thirds and focus on the composition from the point of view of the edges and corners of the frame. I really need to improve the bird in my edit.

the colours are amazing and the heron is beautiful. I had problems to accentuate the bird within the colourful backround. anyway it was fun to try a quick edit…
I don’t remember the plumage of these birds being as aggressive as some of the editions I’ve seen, but I may be wrong. This heron is “bathed” in a golden light and its grey plumage must have some of those sun reflections. But the shadow part should respect the tone of this bird. It is cut out following the golden spiral.
