Hillclimb - a fast edit... (pun intended)

I took this photo (among quite a few others) at a local hillclimb event yesterday. Good event, but I was struggling a bit with the light and finding a good vantage point. This is one of the better ones… just an ‘ok’ motorsport shot I think.
Edited using DT4.1 with sigmoid, tone eq, and a few other bread and butter modules.
It’s a Ford Escort Mk1.

I’d like to see what interpretations you can all come up with!

P.S. for anyone who doesn’t know a hill climb is an event where a road up a hill (or in some cases a specially track) is closed, and cars are timed up the hill. The shortest time wins! Simple, but carefully organized for safety… it’s always the priority with this sort of thing.

Thank you everyone for your edits. A really great selection of different versions!
I like them all.
One that stands out to me is @saliniero’s part b and w version. I like that idea. @dqpcoxeas , your first is very good, your second one is very interesting… :flushed: but also good!
@tim, thanks!
And everyone who I haven’t replied to directly, it’s just I can’t think what to say!

Thanks for the link to the film simulations. I always find it interesting how this kind of thing applies to a camera that it wasn’t designed for. Can certainly give good results though :grinning:

I used one of my presets as as a starting point for the edit and it happened to use that film sim.

I hope there isn’t an unwritten rule that one can’t do versions of one’s own Play Raw! :laughing:
As it’s a classic car, I though it would be interesting to make it look like it was taken when the Escort was new…
