I took this photo (among quite a few others) at a local hillclimb event yesterday. Good event, but I was struggling a bit with the light and finding a good vantage point. This is one of the better ones… just an ‘ok’ motorsport shot I think.
Edited using DT4.1 with sigmoid, tone eq, and a few other bread and butter modules.
It’s a Ford Escort Mk1.
I’d like to see what interpretations you can all come up with!

P.S. for anyone who doesn’t know a hill climb is an event where a road up a hill (or in some cases a specially track) is closed, and cars are timed up the hill. The shortest time wins! Simple, but carefully organized for safety… it’s always the priority with this sort of thing. DSC_9137.NEF (21.2 MB)

Thanks for the link to the film simulations. I always find it interesting how this kind of thing applies to a camera that it wasn’t designed for. Can certainly give good results though
I hope there isn’t an unwritten rule that one can’t do versions of one’s own Play Raw!
