Windows 7
DigiKam 8.2.0
I deleted an album’s image files, outside DigiKam.
I wish to delete the thumbnails from DigiKam.
When I execute Delete Album, DigiKam tells me “File/folder xyz does not exist”, and leaves the thumbnails intact.
Can I delete the album without fussing with an external database tool?
When you start digiKam, the initial scan detects this and removes the album. At runtime you can update the album with (CTRL) F5 and it will then disappear. If necessary, there is also an automatic solution at runtime with album monitoring in the collection settings. I wouldn’t use this though.
CTRL-F5 did the trick.
My restarting DigiKam several times had no effect.
I cannot find any reference to CTRL-F5 (or similar) in the manual.
(Aside: I am not receiving email notifications here, despite “Watching”.)
(Aside 2: I admire the documentation. I converted the epub files to pdf with Calibre, because I need flat, searchable files.)
