I mostly stick with the small primes on the Fuji and they’re excellent. I have the 16-80mm F4 zoom as well and it’s fine for quick travel photography but not a patch on the primes.
I did another quick test as I got a bit worried about the sharpness. But good news: The apparent lower sharpness of the X-T4 was just caused by it’s more accurate autofocus :D.
I was auto-focusing on a plush mammoth on the shelf below (cropped out in the montage above), which is a bit closer to the camera than the books. It seems the Nikon was backfocusing a bit resulting in the books being sharper but the mammoth on which I actually focused being less sharp, compared to the Fuji.
