Following is the Color space tag written by RT in to a TIFF file.
Profile Description : RT_Medium gamma sRGB(AdobeRGB compatible)
If I try to edit this file in Adobe PS, will Adobe PS recognize that the file is using AdobeRGB? More general question is, how does an Image processing software know that X.tiff is using Y-colorspace? Does it go by Profile Description tag OR are there any other low level headers?
If RT_Medium gamma sRGB(AdobeRGB compatible) is not globally recognized then do you recommend using some other tool for doing DNG->TIFF conversion?
I use Pentax K1, and I can use SilkyPix for converting DNG to Tiff. That tool tags the file as
“Profile Description : Adobe RGB (1998)”
Thanks
