How to delete images?

ART 1.25.1 on Linux

In the file browser, I inspect and set color labels for the keeps & the deletes.

Then I filter for the deletes (blue) » select all » right click » file operations » delete » confirm + additional sidecars » I type either .orf.xmp or .xmp in the additional sidecars.

and ART doesn’t delete them. I have to delete them by hand in the file manager.

The filenames are: new-york-20250117-9608.orf ; new-york-20250117-9609.orf…
with the xmps as: new-york-20250117-9608.orf.xmp ; new-york-20250117-9609.orf.xmp

What am I doing wrong? or Could you please put a tip in the additional sidecars box for the pattern to use on a future version?

Thanks

As the tooltip says, you need to use +xmp to delete filename.orf.xmp. Or are you saying that you tried that and it is not working?

HTH

Perfect!

It wasn’t clear TO ME that what I was missing was the + sign to delete both the image and the xmp file. I tried every combination that I could thing of.

Thank you very much for taking the time to explain.
