How to install on Chromebook

I have an Asus Chromebook with the Chrome / Linux options on. Linux Works very well for other popular aps but need to install natron via a command line. “sudo apt-get install natron” fails with “Unable to locate package natron”

Has anyone got nateon running on a chromebook?

I can only comment on the first bit “sudo apt-get install natron" If the distro (you installed) repository does not contain natron packages then ‘apt’ is not going to work. (Do any distros package natron ? There is a 'buntu PPA Natron : Ichthyostega)

First place to look is the natron site: https://natrongithub.github.io/ → Download → Linux which has two options.

The flatpak might be the way to go. Worth a try Flathub—An app store and build service for Linux

Edit: A look around and there is a portable, an appimage
https://apprepo.de/appimage/natron
Not the latest, version 2.3.15

Will it run in a chromebook ? Chromebook machines can be short on memory/storage, up to you to try.
