How to Reset Unknown Faces Without Affecting Confirmed/Unconfirmed Ones?

I have a large collection of recognized faces and a number of folders I no longer want face recognition to scan. I thought I could simply rescan all images and exclude those folders by unchecking them in the “Search in” option. However, the faces that were already detected in those folders still appear in the “Unknown” section.

Is there a way to completely clear or reset the detected faces in the “Unknown” category without affecting the already confirmed or unconfirmed face tags?

Hi @Emporea,
I think I answered this on a different forum, but in case that wasn’t you here’s how you do it.
Go to the left People sidebar and select the “Unknown” branch from the People tree. Select all the faces in the “Unknown” view, and then hover over the top-right corner of any face. A red X will appear. Click the red X to delete all the selected faces.
