How to set snapshot back as working image?

I sometimes loose my history, for instance if I select a node in the history, and then move a slider without setting the history back to the latest node. Sometimes I still have a snapshot, but I cannot figure out how I can set the snapshot as working image and continue working from there?

The snapshot is a cached image, it does not save the history.
Every now and then, it may make sense to create a duplicate (it only copies the history, so takes ~10-20 kB).

But don’t worry, you’ll get used to going back to the top of the stack before you modify anything. A few years, and it’ll become second nature.

Cool thanks for the reply, good tip on the copy!

You can press ctrl-z after you loose history, it will revert it back.

Yes that works sometimes, but not always… I find the undo quite unreliable on my system
