How to use the clipboard to copy a partial profile to multiple photos

I am running the window version 1.24.1 on a Win 10 machine

I am a new user of ART – or rather a potential new user of ART, we’ll see – but I am a long term user of RT. So maybe that’s my problem; I’m expecting ART to work like RT.

So where I am having a problem is that I want copy to the “clipboard” a partial profile and then paste it on other photos. So I crtl-click on the second last icon at the top of Processing Profiles, select the parameters I want to copy, click OK, navigate to the target photo and click crtl-v (or other alternatives). Instead of getting the partial profile I am getting the entire profile. In RT, whether the paste operation affected just the selected parameters or all of the parameters is dependent upon the “Processing profile fill mode”. That doesn’t seem to exist in ART? If instead of copying to the clip board, I copy to a temp file, then it works as expected, but that is considerably less convenient. Am I missing something obvious?

Hi,
indeed the behaviour is strange and not reasonable – thanks for reporting, I’ll try to fix it (most likely by simply removing the option, as there exist an equivalent already – see below).

In the meantime, you can obtain the same effect by clicking “ctrl+shift+v” and explicitly selecting what settings you want to paste.

Thank you. That works. And removing the ability to apparently save a partial profile to the clipboard should reduce the possibility for confusion. I’m not used to using crtl-shift-v, but that should come with practice and it’s no more difficult than what I was trying to do. Now that i know, everything is fine. Thanks again.
