So there’s an option for adjusting the max width/height of an image thumbnail when it’s in a post.
I took a chance and modified the default max values to be 690 x 1000 now (that’s the maximum dimension a thumbnail image will be, keeping its aspect ratio). I figured we’re a photography-centric forum - so it made sense.
Can anyone find a reason why this might be bad, or where it shows up as a problem?
Here’s a couple of examples:
This thumbnail should be as wide as the forum text paragraph right now. This is a onebox embed from 500px.
Hopefully this one from Flickr works as well:
I think the posts look much better with bigger images. I worry that they might be too big for some viewports/monitors, though…
