I am in the process of rebuilding an older laptop with a new 2 TB drive.
My primary folders all carry the year names (2000 through 2023). My folder for 2021 is 126 GB and contains 135 sub-folders. There is no duplication within this folder.
Prior to bringing in the data I flushed all prior library files from the .config.
On my main (desktop) computer this installs correctly but on the laptop the 2021 folder is broken-up into 3 folders … 2021, 2021a(6), and again 2021.
It appears that some duplication also is being created in the fresh import.
All the other folders are just fine!
Can there be some problem related to the prior data.db?
Any ideas?
I don’t think that data.db holds information about images at all.
Can you get a log if the import or inspect library.db and look for differences?
I stripped out the old data.db versions and re-loadad the files and for some reason everything now looks and works just fine.
