This might not be related to win10 but due to old hw.

A week ago, the battery stopped charging and the adapter was hot and noisy for charging nothing. I solved the problem by removing and reinserting the battery. A few times since, the battery would stop charging momentarily and then resume. (Maybe yesterday’s episode had to do with my house losing power due to the ice storm.)

Just now, the system froze (no blinking LED lights), as in I could still see the screen contents but nothing else worked, except for the power button. Maybe it is the login screen problem again. Maybe it’s something else.
Thoughts?
