Is it possible to output image list as layers in XCF file?

I’d like to output the original image and the processed (filtered) image as layers in a gimp XCF file. In gimp I can then adjust the “strength” of the filter by playing with the opacity of the filtered layer.

At the moment, if I send output to an XCF file when there’s more than one image in the list, then G’MIC writes multiple numbered files. Is there a way to write multiple layers in one file instead?

No, it’s not possible to manage .xcf files with multiple layers for now, sorry about that.

Thanks for the response, although it’s not the one I was hoping for! Is there a place where I could log this as a feature request?
