Is there a way to use SIRIL for batch format conversion while retaining file names?

I sometimes want to compress (with RICE) and decompress batches of files, but I want the file names to be the same. I know I can create a sequence without symbolic link and by setting the compression mode, it’ll output compressed or uncompressed FITs. But the file names are changed.

Is there a way to do this is SIRIL and keep the file names? Alternatively, is there a bulk format conversion program available that reads and writes the .fz SIRIL compressed RICE output and retains the file names?

No there’s not except if you write a python script you should workaround this.
