Looks like a good start, but for me being fully open source is not enough. The driver needs to be included in the mainline kernel; otherwise, it will become obsolete very quickly. Sady I was not able to find this information on the page.

A lego camera sounds fun to me. Seriously, how great would it be to have a modular camera you could attach any of your current lenses to. But I have a Mamiya 6x7 and 645 and 4x5inch view camera which one day I dream of putting a digital back on. There may be hope yet.

When I saw it could support multiple sensors, my hope for a 645 or 4x5 back went way too high for the reality of what is on offer.

I think 24x35 would be a decent enough start - 4/3 is a bit too small IMO!
Regardless, this is a phenomenal effort that must be commended. Sadly I don’t have spare funds to help them keep going.
