Library corruption problem?

I’ve been running DT for many years. I’m currently on 5.2.1 and have run into a problem while trying to add images to the library.

When I press the ‘add to library’ button, the window opens up showing my folders on the left and image files on the right. The problem is that ALL of my images have a checkmark next to them, indicating that they need to be imported again! (I think that’s what that means).

All the image files are intact. Image ratings are still there. What happened? I haven’t been editing for a few weeks. Could it be due to the 5.2.1 update recently?

(ps. Can someone remind me how to insert an image in my posting so I can show a screen shot?)

I’m pretty sure the check mark means they are not new…if you see one without then its new and will be imported…simple enough to test…

I agree with Tom - in the left panel you will see which collection is selected (file folders in my case). When you “add to library” the previously-added images are shown with checkmarks. New images will not have a checkmark, and will be added if you choose.

I’m not sure of your “status” on the forum - users with few posts may not be able to do things like add links or images, if I recall correctly. Just keep visiting and posting if that is the issue.

Ahh, you are right! I had an inverted understanding of the checkmark (although in my defense, the documentation page does not explain the checkmark at all!).

Thanks for the help!
