Lights rotated after registration

I’m encountering a weird issue with my lights, where they’re rotated to varying degrees.

First, a little info on my setup:

  • Nikon D5600 with an 18-55mm kit lens (shot at 35mm f5.0)
  • Shooting in Nikon’s .NEF, 14 bit files
  • Siril 1.4.0-beta4, on Pop!_OS 22.04
  • Using Siril to convert to FITS files
  • Aluminum tripod, no tracking/goto/altaz mount. Just a camera on a ballhead.
  • Imaging the sadr region
  • 111 images stacked, 8 second exposures

I’m following deep space astro’s guide to manual stacking

Basically, once I’ve gotten to the point of stacking and I’m looking through the images in the plot, this is what I’m seeing:

And if I look at the original file, it’s not rotated. There does appear to be a power line in the bottom image though, throughout all images. Thought I had the camera angled up high enough to avoid it. This is in darktable with exposure boosted:

Here’s the auto-stretch of the final stack. It plate solves fine, but I was going through the stack to try to remove any images that might have given the star stretchiness look in the bottom right quadrant of the image:

Am I just looking at dealing with field rotation without a tracking mount, or is something weird happening in Siril? When I’m looking through each image of the stack, most of the images look fine, and I removed a few that had funky stars.
