Seeing this somewhat minimal image I became curious if I could recreate an old Harry Durgin technique to create a photo illustration alike result. Instead of using darktable and GIMP, which Harry use(s/d), I decided to try doing this with RawTherapee and Krita instead.
Love how the tree and the outline came out in this one. The pencil stroke illusion could have been done a bit stronger maybe, but I like how it just about shows.
EDIT: Did some work on the colour.
