Long time lurker here!
With the official release of Mac OS26 now are there any issues with darktable with it - did a search and found nothing which is normally a good sign, but just thought I’d ask before “upgrading”

I can only confirm this. After a day with the new macos26, I haven’t encountered any problems with darktable.
I’m planning to wait this out a bit. The UI changes seem hideous, but so were the last ones, and I’m sure I’ll get used to them.
It’s been a long while since I’ve last been excited by an OS upgrade. But thankfully, it’s also been a long while since I last identified strongly with such a piece of software. As long as I can still get my work done, there’s no point spending my emotional capacity on such an unworthy topic.

Trillion dollar company. I skimmed the Ars Technica article and it looks really bad. I am not sure who green lit something like that, it looks like custom linux themes from 10-15 years ago.

You make me feel better about my groaning when Windows does an upgrade. Even Mac users suffer from upgrade syndrome 
I have been using darktable beta builds with OS 26 developer betas since early July. No issues.
