When there’s a consistent colour cast which nothing will cure. What made
me think of it was the histogram that shows the distribution RGB side by
side with the luminance - put simply, I noticed the blue channel was
systematically below the other 2, so started playing with offsetting the
black levels… out of desparation!
I’m afraid that I do not know the answer to your black level question. I am afraid I don’t have time to dive into the code to find out.
I would suggest a less verbose wording: “If listed here this information will override the constants in dcraw (if any), unless otherwise specified.”
