Make a colour photo from a black and white magazine print (have example colours).

I bought a magazine. I’ve been scanning at the maximum my old scanner/printer can produce and getting 169MB filesize for 1 picture (9792 x 13632 Pixels). I have some experience (and an example gimp file) with how to use gausian blur to merge the printing press artifacts (I think I was also using a G’mic denoise by Ian + wavelet decompose. There is one picture that is black and white. I would like to colourize it. I have the colour palette from the rest of the pics. Is there a smart way to achieve this?

I have been busy since my last visit here so I have not really used gimp much, but I’m still looking for technical guidance from the experts (also will be out of town for a short period from tomorrow).

When I get back, if you require I’ll post a coloured photo with subject blurred.
