Hi there! a few months ago i started to use ART cause i find it simple comparing to Rawtherapee and enable the user to create masks. However, this morning i tried masking for the first time but didn’t understand how to bring the process to its end. if i export the image while the mask is still seen, the mask is shown on the final image as well. if i click the mask off then nothing happens. can you explain me what to do?

Likely just check the box not to show the mask…that is different than disabling that instance of the tool you have masked…
Thanx! I believe that’s what i did but I’ll give it s shot tomorrow.
Likely even with the mask showing this should not export… @agriggio could comment…but I can confirm as long as you turn the mask overlay off the export is fine and contains the edit of the mask… See the mask on mask off…just a random parametric mask and local bump in red saturation grossly applied to show up…
thanx! i tried it and it works. i know now what was my mistake. the effect took place on the unmasked part of the photo cause i switched ti inverted mode. the effect was minimal on that area so i could hardly noticed it. i must admit i was so excited and tried it at 02:00, right before i went to bed. i just couldn’t wait. LOL.
