I feel this image has way more potential that I am able to get out of it. Lets see what you can do.
(P.S. Ignore the Exif, I am pretty sure this was my Hexanon 57mm f1.4 or my Hexanon 28mm f3.5) DSCF0739.RAF (24.8 MB) DSCF0739-6.jpg.out.pp3 (68.6 KB)
Here is my version for this beautiful postcard, I tried to rework the sky in the upper left that I found too dark and try to highlight the color of the chairs in the foreground.
I really struggled with the ‘color’ of this image and felt more in control when I disabled the color calibration module and used just the white balance module to get a color I would accept. In the white balance module I felt as shot was not good, daylight was a little cold and shade was too warm. So I set to daylight and then cranked the temp slider up until I was happy.
GIMP masked the house with Threshold then edited it and surroundings separately. I felt that the surroundings were overpowering the house. Mask could be better (see fence):
thank you, this play was fun!
In RT 5.11 I fighted with the whitebalance, selective editing on each chair (don’t look too close, there are some artifacts) , selective editing on the sky (the ciecam-module is awesome) lighten up the top left corner, and finally gave some local contrast to the Mermaid-sign.
