Methods to change SER bit depth

I have a 8-bit SER file, and I want to convert it to 16 bit and then join it with another 16-bit SER file. The Converter says it can’t add image with different properties. Can I do this in siril? If available, how to do it?

I don’t think we can do it within Siril.

Emm, I want to say, convert 8bit to 16bit should be very easy, no more than adding zeros after each origin bytes. Why Siril can’t support this? It says it “is now developing processing only for SER”.
