Missing lens although lensfun is up to date

lensfun

#1

Hello,

i’m on ubuntu 17.10 with darktable 2.5.0 (git master) and lensfun 0.3.2. Lensfun lists my desired lens (Nikkor AF 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5D IF-ED) online, the distortion profile is available. I wrote desired as i do not actually have this lens. I’m using the newer AF-S version (NIkkor AF-S 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G ED) and would like to apply the distortion correction of the old lens to my photos (i’m guessing they should be pretty similar). However, the old lens is not shown in darktable when i try to apply the profile manually.

You conveniently obscured the camera info in the screenshot

#3

Well, it’s a Nikon D610. Or is more specific info needed?

With cropfactor of 1

Profiled for cropfactor of 1.528

You’ll have to profile it yourself, and contribute the calibrations to lensfun upstrean

he can’t, because he doesn’t have the desired lens.
