Modifying modules values without duplicating/moving it in history stack

Hi,

I’m using Darktable 5.0.1 and I would like to change the parameters of a module that appears in a style I have. Whenever I change the values it gest duplicated/moved in the history stack and if I create a style from the resulting history it seems to me that afterwards the results I obtain by applying it are different from what I see in the image I used to create the style.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi @flat_line , what if you click on “Compress history stack” at the bottom of the history?

Did you make sure the module is ticked as Included in the Style popup?

I also compress the history stack before making a style so this is probably the step you are missing.
