Modules loading unexpectedly

I’m using version 4.7.0+70 win 10 22H2. Whenever I load a new Nef raw photo into the darkroom this is the default history stack I see. It’s the same for every new file I load.

I don’t want Line items 12,13 and 14 to be there even though #12 is not active. To get around this I created a default "style " which I call Mybase. For it to work I must first click on line item “0” original and then apply the Mybase style which yields this correct history stack.

Is there anything that I can do to make all new raw files load with these active modules by default thus avoiding the use of a style?

Thanks and Happy New Year to all!

Two things are at play:

  1. the default setting in Settings/Processing. Check what you have in the “auto-apply pixel workflow defaults”

  2. If you use named presets in modules - either built-in ones or one you create - then you can auto-apply those preset versions of those modules - see Settings/presets - find the module and expand to select the preset you want, then double-click to edit it to select auto-apply, and it what circumstances. In this example, I use the preset “Martin” in the Sigmoid module and the tick/check mark shows it is auto-applied when the camera manufacturer is Nikon.

Yes, that was the problem as noted in your response #2. I had sigmoid and filmic on or loading in error.

Thank you!
