Hey clever people, I’ve setup another PC (my daughter hijacked mine!) and this time I opted for Ubuntu OS. The question is…can I bring my dt presets from the Windows PC to the Ubuntu Machine? If so, how?
You can export and import in preferences > settings > presets, though I haven’t tried transferring them between Linux and Windows.
You can also try copying over data.db and see I’d that works.

Hi, I am planning to migrate my DT from a Windows PC to Linux Lite in a couple of days.
Could you please describe the steps to do it without loosing the modules layouts and the presets?

copy the content of your windows <your user>\AppData\Local\darktable directory into your linux ~/.config/darktable
you might delete the cpu/gpu releated stuff from darktablerc so those can be defined based on your new system .
