Hi there,
finally time to show a result from this year summer vacation: a brochure. I have never done this before but the result is - from my point of view - pretty good. It serves as a printed memory, as a present, as a coffee-table thing and of course to be presented here. I have printed it as an A3 grayscale imposed booklet folded to A4 in a local copy shop and it costs about 6 Euro per 16 page brochure. A colored version would be 12 Euros.
You can see the non-imposed 12 page 76 dpi version here (personal images removed):

The original has 16 pages and 1200 dpi and was created using DT 5.3, libre office and some default pdf reader. I like the feel and the look and hopefully this tiny video gives you some impression:
In conclusion I am happy to be able to do this as a cheaper alternative to the usual photo book which is usually smaller but much thicker and does not have this magazine feeling to it. Also you can have the title and the center page as full A3 images.
I am looking forward to seeing your response and critique. Maybe someone has done something similar and has ideas for improvement.
Daniel
