My hearts breaks for you, my American friends. (I know there are lots of you here and some of you might be at the centre of this because the colour of your skin). I know this statement might invite naysayers and unwanted attention. Just wanted to say that I am praying for and thinking of you.
Other parts of the world are hurting too, not just because of COVID-19. My birthplace has been losing its rights as we speak (for a little more than 2 decades, actually) and no one from the international community will be protecting it.
