He has had several lineups under several names over a few years, but nothing has really stuck. At the gig in the picture, they were just listed as “Ian Cuthbertson”.
OK thanks - found him on YouTube and will listen to him there. Reminds me of John Prine.
To my surprise, I also could get some bluish tints into the blown sky

That was kind of fun…I wanted to try to frame the band on stage, high center frame, and then do a vertical shift and distortion, kind of like a typical album cover from the 90’s.
But, I couldn’t find a distort tool that I could understand, so I tried some adjustments with the lens distortion module and also adjusted the perspective.
Aside from that I just went through some colour and image adjustments to taste, and used the highlight reconstruct to try to tame those magenta highlights.
Best of luck to your boy and his band.
My try. Made the clouds white with a mask

On the other hand, it looks better (for me) in monochrome
This has it’s own charm! It looks a little bit like a little boy used it’s polaroid.
You have nailed the sky and the awning cover over the sound equipment (far right), but the main banner over the stage was definitely blue, not black.
Struggled with this. There are definitely some better efforts in restoring the sky. DT5.0.1. I used Highlight Reconstruction to restore the clipped sky, but I think over-flattened the white a bit.

I still don’t have time for Play Raw s . I would point out for participants that the primary challenge for this image to me is that the stage is dark relative to the outside. Normally, the lights would be on to light up the performers (which of course would present other issues such as narrow wavelengths or specular and blown highlights).
I think that is why closer crops appear to be more effective for the most part.
Yes, like the title says, it was a hot summer morning and the sun was bright, in spite of the clouds.
